This is a story about a UK patient who flew to the US for SDT
This patient was treated on compassionate grounds in SonALAsense’s SDT trial of GBM in New York before it closed early due to funding challenges, not safety grounds: https://clinicaltrials.gov/
The left image is prior to SDT treatment (the red ovals highlight the two white tumour areas). The right image is taken after two SDT sonications (one month apart), demonstrating significant tumour reduction.
This improvement correlated with the reversal of vision loss and continued survival of the patient for a further 9 months. The patient described the treatment as ‘brilliant’, noting the absence of chemotherapy’s sickness and the tiredness & hair loss associated with radiotherapy.
